　　多米尼卡（詹妮弗·劳伦斯 Jennifer Lawrence 饰）本是一名芭蕾舞演员，在一场意外中负伤，导致她无法再继续经营自己热爱的舞蹈事业。之后，多米尼卡在被迫的情况下被训练成为了一名间谍，代号“红雀”。她被上级指派潜伏在一位名叫内森尼尔（乔尔·埃哲顿 Joel Edgerton 饰）的美国中情局特工身边，套取他手中掌握的间谍名单。
　　哪知道原本的逢场作戏竟然让多米尼卡动了真情，她和内森尼尔双双坠入了情网之中，后者也了解到了多米尼卡的悲惨身世，为了帮助爱人复仇，内森尼尔决定成为一名双重间谍，帮助多米尼卡揪出安插在美国军方中的俄罗斯间谍。

　　格雷斯（萨玛拉·维文 Samara Weaving 饰）自幼失去双亲，成长在寄养家庭之中，这样的她再也没有想到自己竟然邂逅了豪门之子亚里克斯（马克·奥布莱恩 Mark O'Brien 饰），两人的恋爱顺利，通往婚姻的道路一路亮起绿灯。
　　终于，格雷斯满心期待的那一天到来了，然而，在新婚之夜，亚里克斯却告诉了格雷斯一个非常古怪的消息。原来，在亚里克斯的家族中流传着这样一个传统，每一位嫁进来的新娘都必须在结婚当晚完成一个游戏，而游戏的具体内容则由抽牌来决定。虽然对这样的规矩万分不理解，但格雷斯还是决定忍一时风平浪静。万万没想到，格雷斯抽到了最糟糕的那张牌——捉迷藏，格雷斯必须在天亮之前找到一个可以躲藏的地方，不能够被任何的人发现，否则就只有死路一条。

　　K是一个科学家，沉迷于灵异术，是极端自恋狂，更结合出错科学和灵术创造出另一性别自己。K的助手因暗恋K而无法接受K的自恋，意图阻止K迷恋另一个自己，但电脑程序出错，K的躯体被毁，但女性的K体内已有自己的身孕，K的灵魂和意识被困于电脑中……十年后，K的实验室重开变成一间电脑房，K的鬼魂通过网络寻找自己的后代，不许其他人占有……

　　在他的爱妻去世后，心里不平衡画家本认为自己是文森特·梵高的转世，于是他挖出她的尸体 - 与他的恋尸癖管家的帮助下 - 将其带回给他的城堡，并用它赋予“灵感”。很快他就遇到一位美丽的音乐家，她的长相相酷似他已故的妻子，他将她带回自己的城堡。然而，她最终发现了他们的秘密：管家杀害了这个年轻女子并用她的尸体的血液当作他们 “生命的色彩” - 艺术家的颜料

　　麦克（布鲁斯·威利斯 饰）是著名儿童心理学家，却也有始终未能治愈的患者，甚至因此遭到枪击，这名少年随后也饮枪自毙。这给麦克带来很大心理阴影，一年后他找到另一个症状很像这名患者的男孩柯尔（海利·乔·奥斯蒙 饰），并耐心的做起了他的医生。柯尔并不容易接近，但麦克还是慢慢赢得 了他的信任，得知了柯尔的秘密。原来柯尔有着灵异的第六感，可以看到鬼魂。虽然这令人感到难以置信，但麦克在证实了事情的真相后还是帮助柯尔接受了这个事实。
　　可是就在问题即将得到解决的时候，麦克却在柯尔的引导下，发现了一个更令人震惊的秘密……

　　小儒 (查雅妮 饰)在艺术家父亲过世后继承了两幅毁损的女子画像，她找来艺术品修复师提姆(尼坤 饰)修复这两幅作品，以便转售赚取医治女儿眼疾的费用。修复过程中，陆续发生一桩桩无法解释的恐惧事件，宛如解开了封印在画作中的骇人秘密…小儒开始恶梦连连产生幻觉、女儿出现一些令人不寒而栗的异常行为、威胁生命的意外更不断发生…究竟画中隐藏着甚么恐怖秘密？画中女子到底是谁？她有甚么样的冤情与怨？视而不见真的能全身而退？

　　由于热播电视剧即将取消，六位演员决定自己动手拍摄自己主演的恐怖片，却无意中召唤了一个热爱暴力的鬼魂。

　　《美国梦魇》拍摄于1986年，当时美国上下正处于“越南战争”的梦魇之中，在电影界也涌现出一大批批判“越战”的经典电影，有如《生于七月四日》《现代启示录》等，而本片是部独立电影，一经推出却淹没在了当时大导演，大制作的阴影之中，但影片《美国梦魇》却又是一部不折不扣的经典电影，影片描述一个从越战归来的士兵，从开始的惶惶不可终日，到最后的精神错乱，无论是导演的拍摄技法，到演员绝对有说服力的卖力演绎，从头至尾都让观众揪心，是不可夺得的经典影片，强烈推荐收看！

　　"Wild in the Streets" comes from the same school of film making that spawned other attempts to connect to the counterculture such as "Skidoo" and "Candy". The difference between this and the aforementioned films is that "Wild in the Streets" is reasonably clever and well-made. It isn't sympathetic to the counterculture and will likely offend those with fond memories of the time. Surprisingly, it was a big hit when released and appealed to the youth whom it ridiculed so much. Unlike "The Trip" and "Psych-Out" (two other AIP films), its not an accurate representation of the movement at all. However it does work as social satire.
　　The direction by Barry Shear is good and makes innovative use of split screen photography. Plus, he keeps everything moving at a quick pace. In its funny moments, the film works well. In its attempts at drama, its helplessly dated and just as funny as the humorous moments. Christopher Jones underplays his role and Shelly Winters overacts. Hal Holbrook offers the best performance and Diane Varsi achieves the right note of "grooviness". The script by Robert Thom has its moments, especially the ending (easily the most ingenious part of the film). "Wild in the Streets" isn't perfect, but deserves recognition as an interesting misunderstanding of the hallucination generation. Those into this kind of kitsch will enjoy it the most. I'd rather watch "The Trip" or "Psych-Out" however. (6/10)
