　　在外科医院院长尼克（朱利安·山德斯 Julian Sands 饰）的眼中，风情万种的海伦娜（雪琳·芬 Sherilyn Fenn 饰）是自己的缪斯，可是对于这个追求者，海伦娜并没有放在心上。为了将海伦娜留在身边，尼克设计让她错过了航班，没想到聪明的海伦娜察觉了尼克的阴谋，却在逃跑的途中发生了车祸。
　　从昏迷中醒来的海伦娜发现自己失去双腿，而站在自己面前的，正是罪魁祸首尼克，尼克向海伦娜解释截肢是为了保住她的性命，而海伦娜并不相信。就这样，两人扭曲的关系开始了。在一次企图用手掐死尼克的行动后，海伦娜失去了她的双臂，至此她彻底沦为了一个丧失一切行动能力的摆设，生活起居皆由尼克照料。

　　Here's a modern-day film noir in which you're never sure what's real and what isn't real. There is a possibility you may get tired of guessing and give up on this film 3/4ths of the way through, as I almost did but it worth finishing. It also was better the second time around
　　The problem is just too many flashbacks. If some of those scenes were not replayed so often, or a few of the many twists eliminated, it would have been a super movie. It still was fascinating in parts. It grabs you, and you can't stop watching to see what the real story is. Along the way, is a bunch of nice colors and some nice film noir-type in the beginning and then during the ending credits.

　　法国神探维托（杰拉尔·德帕迪约 Gérard Depardieu 饰）突然失踪，更盛传被一个戴镜子面具的魔人杀死，传闻镜子面具拥有吸去人类灵魂的诡异力量，牵涉整个巴黎多宗神秘谋杀案，顿然引起一阵恐慌。青年新闻记者波艾伦（吉约姆·卡内 Guillaume Canet 饰）遂展开追查，更联同神探维托拍档尼马及一神秘女子，逐一查访多位证人，怎知期间陆续发生多宗“电击杀人案”，不少贵族陆续被离奇闪电轰毙，而曾被追访过的目击证人亦相继被人割喉而死，波艾伦更查出此事与城中大批处女突然失踪有关，令剧情更趋向高潮。每个线索都可改变故事发展，最后关键却在维托自己身上……

　　影片讲述了一个从小被抛弃于森林，依照动物生存模式存活下来的女人。被一个男人掳掠回家并且受尽欺凌。这家人中，男主人极度大男子主义，仇视女人。小儿子因为受父亲教导也对女人极不尊敬。懦弱并逆来顺受的母亲，被父亲侮辱而怀孕的大女儿，以及不谙世事的小女儿。故事的最后，大女儿在极度绝望和恐惧的支配下放了野女人，野女人杀了她的父母和弟弟，带走了她的妹妹。 　　本片以不太恐怖的氛围，却深刻的暗喻了一个至今仍然存在的严重的社会现象，男人应该如何看待女人，女人应该如何正确扮演家庭中的角色。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. All goes well initially. Renting an apartment in Metta, a rundown Khmer Rouge-era housing complex, her visit to her maternal relatives finds her welcomed with open arms. But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.
　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
