　　影片根据茅盾文学奖获奖者麦家的同名长篇小说改编，故事关于上世纪四十年代，世界局势风起云涌，及时准确破译敌方的通讯密码至关重要。容金珍（刘昊然 饰）自幼展现出惊人的数学天赋，被时任大学校长的小黎黎（吴彦祖 饰）和太太叶筱凝（俞飞鸿 饰）抚养长大。大学入学之际，容金珍因解出数学系老师希伊斯（约翰·库萨克 饰）布置的难题而被更多人注意到，其中就有神秘部门701局局长郑某（陈道明 饰），容金珍从此走进了密码破译的大门。

　　Jade是一个被硫酸烧伤的年轻妈妈——她的脸在完成了重建手术之后还是留下了难以消除的疤痕，经历了内心的崩溃和人际关系的破裂后，她采取了比较极端的方式试图挽回曾经正常的生活。

　　秋天，青年（金永敏饰）在外面杀人后重返寺庙，请求谅解。老僧命其刻写心经，去掉罪孽，同时，追捕逃犯的警察也赶到寺庙……
　　冬天，服完刑期的中年男子（金基德饰）回到山中寺庙，重新开始修行苦练。一名妇女突然探访寺庙，并留下了一个男婴，希望能被收留。
　　之后，又一个春天到来。

　　After the Great Earthquake in Northeastern Japan, Mitsuo is sent to a mental hospital from the strain of grief from working to clear out the debris of the disaster. When he is released 3 years later, he feels a moment of happiness as he is welcomed back by his brother Yuta, his wife Yoko, their first daughter Chie, and their second daughter Itsuki, who has a down syndrome.The next day, Chie wishes to go to the amusement park, and Mitsuo takes Chie and Itsuki there. But these happy moments don't last long, and the incident happens at the park. Chie dropped Itsuki on the concrete when Mitsuo took his eyes off of them. Yoko cannot accept Itsuki's death, madly questions Chie and Mitsuo. In this pressure, Chie lies that "Uncle Mitsuo dropped Itsuki." As Yoko goes through a mental breakdown from the shock. Becoming full with regret day by day, Yoko accuses Yuta and questions if he felt relieved that Itsuki died. Hearing this fight between her parents, Chie's heart was also slowly being ...

With Gordon's father, Theodore, fading into dementia, and 95-year old matriarch, Vivian, desperately clinging to control of the house, the six family members, at five stages of life, distill the dreams, worries, and regrets, of contemporary America.

　　奥吉（雅各布·特瑞布雷 Jacob Tremblay 饰）是一个10岁的男孩，除了头戴一个巨大的太空头盔外，他和其他的同年龄孩子别无二致。头盔下隐藏了奥吉因为各种手术而伤痕累累的脸庞，它不仅完美的隐藏起了奥吉脆弱自卑的内心，也成功的防止了奥吉的模样吓到别的孩子。

　　改编自William Kamkwamba所著自传《驭风男孩》（The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind），讲述一个改变人生的故事：Kamkwamba本人在13岁那年，以小块金属废料、旧自行车零件和木材修建了风轮机，拯救了自己的村庄。
　　13岁的Kamkwamba因家里没钱交80美元一年的学费而被学校开除，热爱学习的他溜到学校的图书馆，找到了一种拯救饥荒村庄的方法：用父亲的自行车的主架打造了一个简陋但可行的风车，为西部地区提供了急需的电力，不受政府断电的干扰。这个发明也让Kamkwamba得到马拉维一名教授的资助，获得学校的奖学金，并于非洲大陆其他的发明者进行深入交流。
