　　新技术改变了19世纪的一座瑞士制表小镇。约瑟芬是一位年轻的制表厂工人，负责生产机械表机芯中来回摆动的摆轮。自从对金钱、时间和精力的运用方式有了新的认识后，她开始投身于当地制表工人组织的无政府主义运动，并在运动中结识了俄国旅行者彼得·克罗波特金。
