　　影片剧本由自澳大利亚小说家茱莉亚·丽（Julia Leigh）创作，同时这也是她的导演处女作。
　　这部作品入围了第64届戛纳电影节的主竞赛单元，但最终未能如愿以偿的获得些许殊荣。
　　影片讲述了一个发生在现代女大学生身上的童话故事。露西（艾米莉·布朗宁 Emily Browning 饰）白天是一个单纯的女大学生，而到了晚上她则有另外一个身份——“睡美人”。这份特殊的工作让她在一个陌生的房间内沉沉睡去，醒来后则完全记不得任何事情，仿佛一切都未发生。在梦中她身处一个充满奇幻色彩的隐秘世界，那里美丽，同时充满着欲望。露西深陷迷惘之中，对每一晚发生的离奇经历逐渐产生疑问，她急切想知道，在她沉睡的时候到底发生过什么，她将如何找回自己……

Rigel is intelligent, smart, plays the piano like an enchanting demon and has a beauty that can enchant, but his angelic appearance conceals a dark nature. Even though Nica and Rigel are united by a common past of pain and hardship, living together seems impossible, but kindness and anger are two different ways of fighting pain to stay alive and to conceal the emotions that devastate their hearts, becoming for each other that tears-maker of legend. To the maker of tears you cannot lie: and they will have to find the courage to accept that desperate force that attract them towards each other called love.

　　Marie, an independent and militant sex worker who has never needed to rely on anyone, not even to raise her son. When the latter is thrown off his post-graduate cookery course, Marie is unable to make her peace with it. Dreaming of a greater future for him, she decides to sign him up for one of the best cookery schools in France, but her income won’t cover the tuition fees. She needs to find a solution, at all costs. Even if it means leaving France…

　　美国内战时期，法国大作家Victor Hugo的二女儿Adele Hugo（伊莎贝尔·阿佳妮 Isabelle Adjani饰）漂洋过海来到加拿大的Halifax寻找自己的爱人——英国军官Pinson（布鲁斯·罗宾逊 Bruce Robinson）。然而Pinson却已移情别恋，对Adele异常冷漠。Adele想尽一切方法想挽回Pinson皆告失败。而另一方面，当地高昂的生活费也让Adele难以承受，只能一次又一次要求父亲汇钱。此时的Hugo正流亡在一个小岛上，妻子病重，两人多次希望Adele能返回家中，但Adele坚持留在加拿大。恋情的失败让Adele经常想起她溺水身亡的姐姐，她的精神开始变得错乱。之后，Pinson跟着部队离开Halifax前往另一个小岛Barbados，Adele也跟随而去，在那里，她的病情日益恶化，最终被送回法国，在休养院里度过余生，最终于一战时期悄然离世。

该片采用黑白画面拍摄。讲述2020年五一劳动节庆活动期间，一所中学的礼堂正举行由政党举办的蛇斋饼糭活动。与此同时，楼上课室有多名政界高层与警队，计划射伤两位议员以制造混乱，激起港人恐惧，从而加速中央实施“国安法”。两名黑社会“炒散”获分配“任务”，眼见可观酬劳，决定孤注一掷执行任务，却没想到最后被警方枪杀。而“国安法”最后亦成功通过。
