　　It's a love story about a husband and wife, played by Jake Johnson and Rosemarie DeWitt. It's about the pleasures and pains of building a family with someone, and maintaining the excitement of a relationship over a long period of time.

　　圣诞节前一周，埃斯特尔降落在阿兰达机场。一年前因为丈夫汤米参与了瑞典有史以来最大的银行抢劫案，他们带着女儿匆忙逃离斯德哥尔摩。道上都在传他们要拿回属于他们的那一份，斯德哥尔摩的黑社会人人自危。如果汤米回来，整个城市都将毁灭。如果他不会来，也许更恐怖……

　　外公在浴室摔倒，被送至重症监护室。一家人赶到后被医生告知，外公摔断中枢神经无法救治，医院建议放弃治疗减轻病人痛苦。外婆回家准备遗照，收拾外公物件时情绪奔溃，回到医院不愿放弃对外公的治疗……

　　在外人看来，婕德（Meagan Good饰）似乎拥有了令人艳羡的一切：成功的事业，拥有极高人脉和社会地位的受人钦佩和尊重的丈夫，以及一个他们都十分宠爱的小女儿。但只有她自己知道，她的生活远非外表看上去的那般诗意美好。她的丈夫埃德（Chiké Okonkwo饰）是一个控制欲很强的人，对她在身体和心理上都有严重的虐待行为。
　　终于，婕德决定离开埃德。埃德却警告她 "你只能是我一个人的"。这个威胁在婕德发现埃德雇人杀她时，变得真实又可怖。
　　由于埃德的声望和社会地位，婕德知道没有人会相信她曾被埃德家暴，她意识到逃离埃德的唯一方法是让他相信杀手完成了任务——她，必须死去。

　　《海墘新路》是2017年马来西亚电影，由苏忠兴自编自导，是一部关于其家庭的半传记电影。电影以1970年代的槟城（马来西亚北部华裔人口为多的繁华岛屿）为背景，是马来西亚首部电影全片只使用槟城福建话。片名《海墘新路》是槟城当地人對乔治市（槟城市中心）Victoria Street的称呼，福建话为Hai Kin Xin Lor。
　　经年未有回到家乡槟城的Sunny（李洺中 饰）终于这一个农历新年回乡见一见姐姐阿云（杨雁雁 饰）、两位姑姑以及旧同学。身为导演的Sunny一直都是家人引以为傲的存在，认为他事业有成、生活美满。
　　然而Sunny怀着的却是无法向他人道出的困顿，在现实与理想之间拉扯与挣扎，如今更为了开拍一部对他而言非常重要的电影而花光了经费。电影关于Sunny的孩提时代和家庭故事，其中包括一个不可告人、令Sunny蒙上巨大阴影至今的事故/悲剧，他对母亲感到无法理解，对精神病患胞兄更是有着莫大的怨怼。
　　面对着经费不继、外界的眼光以及自揭内心阴影与家庭疮疤的压力，Sunny凭着内心使命式的呼唤，咬着牙根撑了下去。这部电影是对母亲为家庭诸多牺牲的一种缅怀，更是一场必须完成救赎之旅……。

　　Abandoned by his father at the age of five and raised in near isolation by a loving, yet emotionally unstable and over-protective mother, the only life Peel Munter has ever known is within the confines of his childhood home. Upon his mother's unexpected death, 30-year-old Peel is left lost and utterly alone. With no job, family, or friends, he must make a choice; live as his mother did, lonely and unsettled, or change the course of his impending fate by breaking out into the unknown, facing the trials and tribulations of an outside world he doesn't understand. Unable to make the house payments, Peel decides to take in a couple of drifters as roommates.
