　　ABC续订第八季。

　　曾经的纽约黑手党族长Dwight "The General" Manfredi在服刑25年后从监狱获释，却被自己老大流放去了俄克拉荷马州的塔尔萨。Dwight意识到自己的黑帮家族并没有考虑他的最佳利益，于是他从一群并非自己想象中的人物里，逐渐建立起了一个“团队”，来帮助他在一个彻头彻尾的陌生之地打造一个新的犯罪帝国。

　　本剧继续通过荧幕呈现James Herriot创作的故事，观众将回到Darrowby，重新加入不拘一格、备受喜爱的Skeldale大家庭，以及1940年代生活在约克郡山谷的农场主、动物和乡亲们。

本剧集为《美国怪谈》（American Horror Story）的第二季。
　　这一季的故事发生在20世纪60年代新英格兰地区的Briarcliff疗养院。故事由生活在现代的新婚夫妇Leo（亚当·莱文 Adam Levine 饰）和Teresa（珍娜·迪万 Jenna Dewan 饰）疗养院的旧址探险拍照引发。当年住在这里的只有三类人：医生护士、牧师修女、精神病罪犯。这所疗养院由Jude修女（杰西卡·兰格 Jessica Lange 饰）和高级神职教士Timothy O’Hara （约瑟夫·费因斯 Joseph Fiennes 饰）共同管理。演精神病医生Thredson（扎克瑞·昆图 Zachary Quinto 饰）拥有他的超前思维，但是经常与Jude修女的管理方式产生矛盾。Arden医生（詹姆斯·克伦威尔 James Cromwell 饰）看起来很温和，但绝非好人。这群人都不像表面看起来那般，而鬼魅的疗养院中也隐藏着可怕而神秘的事物......

Johnny is busy running the motel with Stevie as his partner. Business is booming, but it’s a challenge for him to balance work and family, while dealing with Roland’s antics. Moira is carrying out her duties with Town Council and the Jazzagals, and is also looking for new ways to utilize her talents, whether it’s through a theatrical performance, or by helping Alexis navigate event planning. David is managing his store and attempting to maintain a brand new relationship, but between struggling to find the time for romance, and overcoming the anxieties of his dating past, this is proving to be a challenge. Meanwhile, Alexis is putting all of her energy into school and her career, but is finding it difficult to focus when she still has lingering feelings for her ex-fiancé, Ted.

　　Season four of the six-time Emmy-nominated series, the first since 2019, will consist of six new episodes parodying documentaries such as Burden of Dreams, Three Salons at the Seaside, The September Issue, When We Were Kings, Gleaners and I, Beaches of Agnes, My Octopus Teacher, and more, according to IFC. It’s too early to speculate, but perhaps season five will lampoon the inevitable, yet-to-be-created documentary about the response to Queen Elizabeth’s death, and Mirren can pull double duty hosting and reprising her Oscar-winning role.
