一路向南

　　寒冷的冬天来到，丹尼尔（Dean Armstrong 饰）、肯妮娅（Jennifer Pudavick 饰）、布丽姬特（Kaitlyn Wong 饰）、让娜（Terra Vnesa 饰）等一众青年男女相约去雪山中度假。谁知他们迷了路，来到了一个完全陌生的所在。寒冷的暴风雪即将袭来，众人无可奈何找到了一幢废弃的建筑暂时栖身。从建筑中留下来的资料得知，这里曾是名为格伦威尔的疗养院，专门用来收容形容怪异、极度危险的边缘人群。早年间疗养院放生了一场恐怖血腥的暴乱，最终废弃不用。
　　青年们在这里纵情欢歌，却没想到还有几个畸形人住在这里。他们似乎并不欢迎这群不速之客。夜幕降临，惨无人道的屠杀悄悄展开，青年们迎来了最为恐怖的假期……

　　在上一集后，女主角Stella离开阿拉斯加最北小镇巴罗（Barrow），前往洛杉矶，并告诉世人那里发生的恐怖事件。她的旅行引起了当地温暖气候下的女吸血鬼们的愤怒，Stella从此得知可能有一种办法可以救活被杀死的丈夫Eben。

　　夜幕低垂，麦克斯（杰米·福克斯 Jamie Foxx 饰）接了一位注定要改变他人生的客人――文森特（汤姆·克鲁斯 Tom Cruise 饰）。
　　文森特受雇于一家跨国贩毒集团，这晚来到洛杉矶要干掉五名重要证人。他与我们经常看到的杀手大不一样，他天生喜欢唠叨，在他挟持 麦克斯去帮他完成杀人工作时，还振振有词――“我又不是卢旺达大屠杀，我杀人本来就不是好人，可以说是替天行道，你有什么可以指责我的？”麦克斯也一时语塞。

　　青年编剧尚镇从首尔来到了一个地处大山深处的偏僻小镇，他有朋友在当地经营了家庭旅馆，尚镇计划在此完成他的剧本工作。人生地不熟的所在，尚镇小心翼翼避开周围充满敌意和挑衅的目光，不敢轻易造次。在车站他遇到一个有过前科的青年，对方表现出了过度的热情为他指路，令尚镇浑身不自在又却之不能。好不容易到达目的地，但是接二连三的不速之客始终让他无法静下心写作。目光凶狠锐利的猎人，四个不知好歹的年轻人以及再度见面的热情青年，都让尚镇心烦不已。
　　谁知夜幕降临，突如其来的肃杀宁静背后竟藏着血腥无情的恐怖杀戮……

　　女主角被贪污刑警爱人陷害后，想杀死贪污刑警未遂入狱。在牢中，女主角曾尝试越狱，但失手被抓，连累狱中同囚被狱警无理欺压。贪污刑警雇用监狱中女囚，企图暗中杀人灭口，但未能得手。其後，囚犯因不能忍受狱警的无理虐待，触发暴动。女主角成功趁乱逃狱後，化身黑衣复仇天使，亲手手刃仇人及相关人员。

　　麦考尔（丹泽尔·华盛顿 Denzel Washington 饰）是一名已经退役的黑色行动突击队队员，常年浸淫在充满了暴力和危险的生活中，麦考尔的内心早已经疲惫不堪，为了脱离组织，他大费周章伪造了自己已经死亡的假象，来到了波士顿，改头换面，隐姓埋名，企图能够过上平静安宁的新生活。
　　一次偶然中，麦考尔遇见了被俄国黑帮控制的雏妓泰利（科洛·格蕾斯·莫瑞兹 Chloe Grace Moretz 饰），女孩坎坷的身世和危险的现状博得了麦考尔的同情，他决定帮助这个可怜的女孩。然而，在解救泰利的同时，麦考尔自己也陷入了黑帮强大的火力之中，对警方的昏庸和腐败失望透顶的麦考尔决心挺身而出与体制对抗。

　　在传说中的年代，女吸血鬼卡米拉以女性为猎物祸及英国乡间，终于有勇士借圣剑威力将其封印，但卡米拉旗下一干女性吸血鬼得以隐匿……英国青年吉米（Mathew Horne 饰）最近被红杏出墙的神经质女友抛弃，好友胖子弗莱奇（James Corden 饰）则丢掉了小丑的工作，二人为排遣郁闷，前往用飞镖确定的不知名英国乡下远足。
　　两人临近目的地，在一间酒吧内见识神秘牧师向当地居民发出警告，四名靓丽女子旅游经过此处，于是六人结伴前行，其中一人罗提似对当地的吸血鬼传说颇有认识，并默默属意吉米。当夜，女吸血鬼们袭击了这些年轻人，并将吉米和罗提掳走作为唤醒卡米拉的祭品，弗莱奇与随后赶到的牧师挖掘出圣剑，与这些擅于摆造型的女吸血鬼展开了战斗……

　　恐怖之夜：噩梦电台是新西兰黑曼达拉电影公司制作的一部新的恐怖选集。
　　罗德主持一个专门讨论恐怖的广播节目。直到突然，播音员开始收到一个拼命求救的孩子的奇怪电话。起初，他认为这是一个坏笑话，直到他发现事实并非如此。这些电话隐藏着一个黑暗的秘密...

　　Locked in her flat for several years, a reclusive young woman stumbles upon a mysterious web community. According to an urban myth, the Suicide Club grants death to those wishing for it. Unless these "cyber suicides" are actually murders.

　　Constantly on the hunt and suffering from hallucinations that drive his violent nature, an unnamed man is capturing women and savagely beating them to death. Meanwhile, a woman is luring men into a violent end, by way of her knife. Driven by the same force to make the opposite sex suffer, the killers’ fates intertwine. The two must face off in a battle to the death, in which they are forced to reveal the horrible truth behind their addiction to murder.
　　“Brutal” takes an interesting approach to its visuals, drawing heavy influence from Western “Grindhouse” films, using a filter to make the footage appear grainy, damaged, and with light and color fluctuations. Unfortunately, the visual styling ends up feeling misguided, as other than applying the filter it does not imitate any other aspects of the “Grindhouse” genre. Despite trying to dirty up the film, it is apparent it was shot on digital. The cinematography is also a step above most “Grindhouse” productions, with Takashi Hirose proving he has talent behind the camera. Exterior shots to those taking place in small spaces are all competently framed, lit, and transition well. The decision to add an effect on top of the work hurts the film’s imagery and even gives a sense of desperation to try to capture a certain type of nostalgia with the audience, instead of relying on its own strengths. It is unfortunate when one creative choice can hurt a production so much.
　　The story of “Brutal” is simple but effective, it does attempt some sort of social commentary about the violent nature of men and women, but it does not offer enough depth into the subject to justify the amount of violence on display. The film does end on a strong note with an interesting twist, with a reveal that is bound to gross some out, while giving others a chuckle. In spite of its simple nature, those who enjoy films that make them somewhat uncomfortable and enjoy the challenge of getting through some ultra-violence, “Brutal” poses a fun and entertaining challenge in that regard.

　　无法适应宿舍生活的艾露思租下了一间老旧但是舒适的单室间，哪知道在这里的第一夜，她就在半梦半醒之间穿越回了60年代，并且邂逅了一位名叫桑迪（安雅·泰勒-乔伊 Anya Taylor-Joy 饰）的女子。艾露思透过桑迪的眼睛目睹了她是如何从一个才华横溢的女子一步一步堕落成为妓女最后被杀害的全过程。
