天鹅挽歌

　　对于21岁的加奈来说，考虑自己的未来一点意思也没有：她不知道自己想要什么样的生活，对任何事都缺乏热情，甚至恋爱也只是为了消磨时间。与她同居的男友本田试图通过负担房租和为她做饭来取悦加奈，但这段恋情还是变得摇摇欲坠——加奈认识了一位名叫林的创作者，随着两人关系的加深，她开始觉得本田是个负担……

　　把罗马焚城后，惨无人道的暴君尼禄（查尔斯·劳顿 Charles Laughton 饰）将矛头指向基督徒，开始大规模肆意捕杀基督徒。不仅如此，尼禄更颁布了法令把抓获的基督徒送往竞技场。罗马最高军事军官马库斯（弗雷德里克·马奇 Fredric March 饰）奉命残杀这些捕获的基督徒。被抓的基督徒中有两名老者准备逃跑，马库斯本欲逮捕他们，然而当马库斯看到他们的继女麦西卡（爱丽莎·兰迪 Elissa Landi 饰）时，情不自禁地一见倾心。楚楚动人的麦西卡，马库斯很快与她坠入爱河不能自拔，随之下令释放了所有基督徒。马库斯的这一举动，不仅激怒了暴君尼禄，更让一直暗恋他的皇后帕亚（克劳黛·考尔白 Claudette Colbert 饰）醋意大发，心生嫉妒。

　　二战末期，德国军人科利基文斯（米高·文度 Michael Mendl）在战争中沦为战俘，被处以25年的刑期，而此时他怀孕的妻子和女儿则完全没有他的消息，只能求神保佑他还能活着回来。经过漫长的跋涉，一行战俘被送到了一个劳改场，那里没有围墙也没有栅栏，然而极度的严寒和千里冰原则成了难以逾越的屏障。这里位于西伯利亚东部，初到之时，由于天气和疾病，很多人都不幸死去，然而非人的矿工生活，才是真正的炼狱。科利基文斯从来没有忘记远方的亲人，一次失败的逃亡让他饱受看守的虐待，然而这却更加坚定了他要逃出这里的决心。后来在年迈的医生的帮助下，科利基文斯才得以逃离劳改场，从此获得回家的希望。可是在他面前的，将是长达14000公里的“死亡之地”，在被积雪覆盖的千里冰原，科利孤身一开始了漫长的回家之路……
　　本片曾获多项国际大奖，其情节源自一个真实的逃亡故事。

　　两个从事烟囱清扫工作的工人，虽然都生活在一夫一妻制的异性婚姻中，但都遭遇了挑战他们对性别角色和性取向看法的情况。

　　Sixty Glorious Years is an exercise in the creation of iconography, both for Victoria and its star, Anna Neagle (who subsequently became known as 'Regal Neagle'). Just as Elizabeth I commissioned artists to create flattering iconic images for public consumption, so this film performs a similar function, for Neagle is more beautiful than the real life Victoria. Controversial events (such as the 'Irish problem') are omitted and unpleasant aspects of Victoria's character (her petulance, arrogance, favouritism and 'right to privilege') are glossed over as endearing little 'whims'. Albert acts as a moderating influence when she goes too far.
　　The film followed a year after the highly successful Victoria the Great (d. Herbert Wilcox, 1937). Again the screenplay is by Miles Malleson and Robert Vansittart, and many of the supporting cast (the cream of acting talent of period) repeat their roles, this time for the colour cameras. This was the first full length Technicolor film of cinematographer Freddie Young, who captures the spectacle of royal weddings, grand balls and opulent interiors, with scenes actually filmed at royal palaces. Vivid battle scenes, set in Alexander Korda's empire territory (Sevastopol and the Sudan), rival those in The Four Feathers (d. Zoltan Korda 1939).
　　The title music sets the tone: a regal choir sings over a shot of the crown. Elgar's 1901 'Pomp and Circumstance' march is heard during the diamond jubilee celebrations and, as Victoria's coffin lies in state, the film concludes with Anthony Collins' stately music accompanied by the text of Rudyard Kipling's 'Lest we forget'. Combined with the emotional appeal of scenes of Victoria connecting with her 'ordinary folk', this is stirring stuff.
　　The film connects with contemporary events of 1938. The release of two celebratory royal films was intended to boost public affection for the monarchy in the wake of Edward VIII's abdication. Anglo-German relations were another touchy subject. With another war on the horizon, influential voices wanted appeasement, and the film could be seen to fit that agenda. Victoria herself was of mainly German descent, nicknamed 'the grandmother of Europe', while Albert is a 'good German', charmingly played by Anton Walbrook as a cultured, decent man.
　　Sixty Glorious Years now seems unduly formal and reverential. Had movies existed during Victoria's reign (they only emerged at the end) this might have been the kind of film produced. Unlike Mrs Brown (d. John Madden, 1997), it is all so very 'Victorian'.

　　这部片子是美国黑色电影的代表作，在80年代末曾多次获奖，电影的表现手法及剪辑都相当精彩。
　　谓“黑色电影”？它是否一种类型，运动或潮流？至今仍无定论，有的学者认为“黑色电影”是一种类似西部片，音乐喜剧片，恐怖片的的片种，是一种有着深厚历史与社会背景下产生的1940－1960年间的电影潮流或运动，有的甚至认为“黑色电影”必须是黑白片，60年后便再也没有“黑色电影”了。但我个人认为“黑色电影”不是任何一种类型片，虽然其称号来自30，40年代的强盗片/犯罪片与侦探片。那“黑色电影”到底是什么呢？我个人认为，它是一种含有“黑暗或黑色”情绪与心理色调的特质电影，所以它与一些类型片如强盗片/犯罪片，侦探片（有人认为黑色侦探片是强盗片的延伸），音乐喜剧片，甚至科幻与恐怖片都会有互相重叠的部分（因为划分标准是不同的）。
　　黑色电影所具有的历史社会背景很大如战争，经济大萧条，政府与社会制度的弊端等；一般取材于现实生活（当然也有少量的科幻题材）；描写的阶级层面并不仅限于社会底层，也可涉及中上流社会；影片中常常出现夜色下的城市，兰色的灯光洒在湿漉漉的街道上，周围是高大的水泥墙……，光色抑郁，影片人物愤世或觉醒，气质忧郁，有宿命感和悲观主义，但又往往具有独来独往不受约束，什么都不在乎的无政府主义，如果是女性角色则大多具有独立精神，甚至邪恶，放荡如通过性来操纵男人达到目的，但无论影片的主人翁是英雄还是匪徒，其结局往往是失败（因为影片总体是从批评与讽刺的角度来描写的），表现出秩序与反秩序的冲突，并抨击追求物欲产生的堕落与残暴。
　　这部片子还有一个译名：连环杀手的画像」听起来不是很吸引吗？

　　Soo-ha leaves the city and goes to the roadside rest stop inherited from her father. The rest stop, however, is losing business as much as Soo-ha’s life is losing vitality. Because of a new road, few people pass this way and there are two employees who don’t really fit in. Even worse, her brother comes and passes his partial ownership to her and leaves his daughter behind. As Soo-ha gradually wears down, a South American band ‘Kawsay’ drops by the rest stop in the middle of their trip. Soo-ha welcomes them thinking they might attract more visitors.

　　故事发生在1943年，日军的屡屡侵犯打破了朝鲜国民的宁静生活，一时间硝烟四起，百姓们失去了赖以生存的家园，过着流离失所的悲苦生活。居昌郡的一个小小村落里，生活着名为正敏（姜荷娜 饰）的十四岁少女，正敏出生在一个平凡但恩爱的家庭中，从小到大都沐浴在父母慈祥的关爱之下。
　　战争的到来结束了正敏无忧无虑的生活，某日，日军占领了村庄，不由分说的将正敏掠走送上了开往日本的火车，和她同行的，都是一些和正敏差不多岁数的少女，每个人心中都惴惴不安，不知会有怎样的命运等待着她们。正敏和其他少女们沦为了日军发泄兽欲的对象，过着暗无天日的悲惨生活，然而正敏内心里有一个无比坚定的希望，那就是活下来，重返故乡。

　　阿格斯顿年过五十，在工作了半辈子的能源工厂大裁员中，不幸失去了饭碗。怀着渺茫的希望，他悠闲的穿越东欧希望找到一份工作，并实现自己想要钓到大鱼的愿望。然而在波罗的海边，他发现：自己除了被裹挟着海盐的风吹透的寒冷之外，一无所有。在异国的旅程里，他深深陷入充斥着怪异事件的海洋。一路皆是萍水相逢：友好的人、钻营的人、诡异的人，以及一只被做成标本的天生没有耳朵的兔子。海浪漫过沙滩，再慢慢退潮。后浪把前浪拍在沙滩上。海在此诞生，绝不会在此终结。
