　　影片讲述了新奥尔良众议员科林·普莱斯的职业生涯因性丑闻被中断后，直面混乱人生的故事。

　　讲述五位不同背景不同性别不同社会阶层的普通人，他们都面临着生活的漩涡与盲目的爱恋，最终他们在亲人爱人的帮助下，一步步走出阴霾迎接阳光

　　故事开始于1980年的东京，佐佐冈鲇子（优希美青 饰）是从东京来到冈山生活的转学生，因为浓重的口音，鲇子始终都无法顺利的融入到班级中去，班上的同学还因为她的口音给她取了“古怪佐佐冈”的外号。唯一能够安抚鲇子的心情的，就是她的男友秀穗（矢野圣人 饰），善于绘画的鲇子将自己和秀穗的恋爱小故事画成了漫画。
　　巧合的是，这本漫画被班上人气很高的女生秋本武美（足立梨花 饰）读到了，武美非常喜欢漫画里的情节，以此为契机，武美和鲇子之间结下了深厚的友谊。某日，鲇子和秀穗因为一场激烈的争吵而分手了，这让鲇子坠入了人生的低谷。

　　西德尼（梅根·妮可 Megan Nicole 饰）、丽芙（艾莉森·斯通勒 Alyson Stoner 饰）和克洛伊（安娜·格蕾丝·巴洛 Anna Grace Barlow 饰）是从小玩到大的好友，三人之间的感情非常的要好。一晃眼，暑假就要结束了，三人即将分散各地进入大学深造，在这最后一个三人能够齐聚一堂的夏天里，她们决定尽情的享受阳光，享受生活。

　　暑假，十二岁的双胞胎凯文凯武央求母亲给他们买新自行车。他们骑着新自行车带着同村小孩兴奋地在路上飞驰，结果遇上了邻村的康康，后者嘲笑他们虽买了新车，却连放双手骑都不会，丢人现眼。双胞胎受了刺激，为战胜康康，开始勤学苦练，但好静的凯文渐渐力不从心，放弃了练习。凯武刻苦训练并最终取得了胜利。这份对凯武独有的称赞让凯文难堪，他暗下决心也要学会放手骑车，但始终没有学会……

This encounter and his growing infatuation has a deep effect on Colm. He finds a comfort in Jay that no one else can provide.
