　　《毒枭》在经过三季于哥伦比亚的反毒战争后将告一段落。Netflix将原来的第四季独立出来作为衍生剧《毒枭：墨西哥篇》（Narcos: Mexico）。
　　本作将聚焦于反毒战争的起源 – 墨西哥的瓜达拉哈拉贩毒集团，时间也将移前至80年代，讲述冷静﹑大胆﹑头脑清晰﹑忠于 亲友的Felix Gallardo（Diego Luna饰）如何把散乱的贩毒者统一起来，成为被称为「Godfather」的大毒枭。
　　而缉毒局探员Kiki Camarena（Michael Pena饰）带着妻儿从加州搬到瓜达拉哈拉，但他没意料到此反毒战的危险程度，并引发了惨剧。在《毒枭》第一季中曾提到，Kiki被贩毒集团抓获后，死前曾被剥了两腿的皮﹑对着手脚开枪﹑用电钻钻头等。不过他的死也令缉毒局开始对毒枭穷追猛打。

　　1942年，瓜达卡纳尔岛，美军陆战第1师占领了该岛上的日军机场，由此拉开了太平洋战争上的战略对日大反攻。三个美军海军陆战队士兵莱基、斯莱治和巴斯龙在太平洋上经历了二战时期最为惨烈的太平洋战争。在太平洋上，日本陆军骄横狂妄，对美军发起了猛烈的攻势，期间不乏使用自杀式的袭击。从惨烈的瓜达卡纳尔岛战役、格洛斯特角登陆战，及热带丛林战役，贝里琉岛争夺战，到硫磺岛战役直至冲绳岛战役。莱基（詹姆斯·贝吉·戴尔 James Badge Dale 饰）、斯莱治（约瑟夫·梅泽罗 Joseph Mazzello 饰）和巴斯龙（乔恩·塞达 Jon Seda 饰）见证了日军的负隅顽抗直至最后的溃败，也亲眼看到战友不断的在这惨烈的战斗中牺牲。作为最贵的二战美剧，HBO为此耗资2.23亿美元，这也是斯皮尔伯格与汤姆·汉克斯继《兄弟连》之后的再次联手。

　　斯拉（罗伯·希普斯 Rob Heaps 饰）是一个非常普通的男人，他做梦也没有想到，有一天，一位名为伊娃的美女会闯进自己的生活，还成为了自己的妻子。就在新婚的幸福还未完全消退之际，伊娃以迅雷不及掩耳之势卷走了斯拉的所有财产，就此消失不见。
　　在斯拉寻找伊娃的过程里，他遇到了理查德（帕克·扬 Parker Young 饰），理查德也在寻找着他的妻子爱丽丝，两个男人一通气，发现他们的境遇惊人的相似，而他们所寻找的伊娃和爱丽丝，很有可能就是同一个女人。之后，第三个受害者也浮出了水面。三人一拍即合，开始了他们和女骗子周旋的猫鼠游戏。

　　Michael throws an extravagant going-away party for Toby, and falls in love with the woman who is replacing him. Jim plans to propose to Pam at the party, but gets out-staged. Back at corporate, Ryan is arrested for fraud.
