Furie's 1982 Barbara Hershey horror film THE ENTITY, the story of a woman who is continually assaulted and raped either by real ghosts or by awfully adept repressed traumas… The screen literally explodes with a tumult of Hershey faces, shattering Steve Burum's original cinematography into shards of frightened eyes, trembling hands and violent outbursts of self-defense, presented in multiple exposures too layered to count, too arresting to ignore."

　　一天晚上，她到河边挑水，不提防水桶给一个行走匆忙的过路人撞翻了，这个人名叫何宜度，是地主张大有家里雇佣的长工，为人忠厚老实，他辛苦工作一年，张大有竟狠毒地把他的工钱赖掉了，一路上他想着家里的老娘正饿着肚子，年关又到，一个钱都没有，急得心慌意乱，不小心便把苏小娥的水桶给撞翻了。苏小娥问明白了何宜度的底细后，很同情他，就把他请到自己家里去，还拿出50个小钱给他过年。何宜度非常感激，又见她一个人孤苦伶仃，怪可怜的，便帮她干起活来，挑水、推磨、灌浆、烧火……苏小娥一个人平常要忙到二更天的活，今晚在何宜度的帮助下，没多少时候便全部做完了。
　　豆腐磨完了，何宜度就要回去。苏小娥心里真有些舍不得他走，请他喝了一碗豆浆，又借给他一件棉衣穿上。何宜度是个忠厚老实的人，他从来没有受到过这样温暖体贴的关怀，他感动得连话都说不上来。苏小娥对何宜度说了真心话：“你我都是苦根生，应该互相来帮助!”何宜度也答应把老娘接来，跟苏小娥一起生活。
　　这一对有了真诚爱情的青年男女，终于冲破了旧礼教的束缚，幸福地结合在一起。

　　中央人民政府颁布新婚姻法后不久。在一个土改后的农村东枣庄里，有一对青年男女，男的叫王春贵，女的叫李秀兰。他们都是生产互助组的劳动模范，新民主主义青年团员，两人正处在热恋中。村里一些有旧脑筋的人，对王贵春和李秀兰的自由恋爱看不惯，认为这样的新鲜事“伤风败俗”。李秀兰的老爹李老川也是一个旧脑筋的人，他反对女儿自由恋爱，硬要自作主张将女儿许配给西枣庄赵老蛮的侄子赵大奎。李老川和赵老蛮两人又亲自到村政府，代替李秀兰和赵大奎办理了结婚登记手续。李秀兰坚决反对父亲的包办婚姻，她找到村妇女主任想办法。妇女主任找到秀兰娘，把自己亲眼看到过的一个包办婚姻的惨事告诉了秀兰娘。原来，在好几年前，在她娘家村里的一个寡妇，轻信媒人的话，将女儿虹采嫁给了一个小女婿。虹采过门后，受尽了婆家的气，最终跳井自杀。秀兰娘明白了包办婚姻的害处，不再反对女儿的自由恋爱。她叫李秀兰和王贵春马上到村政府去办手续。秀兰和贵春在村政府碰到李老川和媒人。村政府的村长并不理解新婚姻法，反而给李老川写了介绍信，让他到区政府去领结婚证书。李老川刚走，妇女主任和秀兰娘就赶到了。妇女主任批评了村长的错误做法，村长也明白了自己的错误，立即领着李秀兰和王贵春到区政府去登记。李老川和媒人来到区上，区长没看到女方本人，就不给予登记。村长赶来向区长承认了自己的错误，区长又向李老川做了耐心细致的解释工作。秀兰和贵春的自由婚姻被区上批准。顽固的李老川在万般无奈中，虽然同意取消了李秀兰和赵大奎的包办婚姻，但却仍然反对秀兰和贵春的自由婚姻，他还在家里声明与女儿脱离了父女关系。李秀兰和王贵春结婚的那一天，村上的老乡都来参加了这个新式婚礼，只有李老川一个人在家生闷气。结婚后，小两口的日子越过越好，积极生产获得了丰收。村里有旧脑筋的人也有了转变，开始认识到了新婚姻法的好处。在割麦子的时候，恰逢天要下大雨，秀兰和贵春跑来帮助缺少人手的李老川抢收麦子。这时李老川才认识了自由恋爱结婚的好处，心服口服地承认了秀兰和贵春的婚姻，与秀兰恢复了父女关系。

　　The lines start with “O Somma Luce” which is the title of the film and also the 67th line of the 33rd canto in “Paradiso” of Dante’s “Divine Comedy” to the end of “Paradiso”.  The film is completed with music and lines instead of emotions and narrations.  This is a recent attempt to combine film with literature.
　　The film begins with a black screen and the music of Edgard Varese. The BGM is “Deserts” that was recorded in 1954. After some moments of darkness, the music ends and a middle-aged man sits on a hill, reciting something. He is Giorgio Passerone, an Italian literature professor, and he is reading out of the last part of ‘Paradiso’ of Dante’s Divine Comedy. Jean-Marie Straub expressed how he thinks of Dante through a subtle accent and dialect. The director who had encoded many great artists and musicians including Bach, complete the combination of Dante and Varese, which could seem strange. (Lim Kyung Yong)

　　Scared of life and lacking the courage to be himself, Ludovico lives hidden away in his grandmother's old apartment. One night, the wickedness of the world goes to visit him in the form of Jack, a boy who is Ludovico's age but has the opposite character: hard, determined, perhaps criminal. The forced cohabitation of two human beings who couldn't seem more different from one another turns into an initiation rite to adulthood, the discovery of their true and respective personalities. And when the harsh reality that is mercilessly stalking them appears to present the bill, they will have to face it, bolstered by a new awareness and unhoped-for courage.

　　Heintje是西德电影《英俊少年》的主角，相信这部电影很多人熟悉，但谈到他的其它影片可能大家就陌生了。Ein Herz geht auf Reisen德语直译叫一颗上路的心，拍摄于1969年，但40年了，这部电影还未有过中文配音，相信是没有传到中国的。
　　片中Heintje（影片用的是他真名，英俊少年也是只是姓不同）是个孤儿，从开头他买完东西回到一所公寓的情景是为影片说明来由，那公寓不是他自己家，是他姨妈家而姨妈有了未婚夫后一心想跟他分开住。Heintje天天去马场看他喜欢的白马，与场主Alfred（英俊少年里演他父亲的演员）建立深厚感情，而Alfred有了女友后也疏忽了他还要去瑞士，所以Heintje被送到孤儿院。但他又从孤儿院逃出一路搭便车追随Alfred到了瑞士，Alfred被他深深感动还与女友分手了。Heintje搭的便车最后那个是一起走私团伙，在瑞士发现他后还绑架他，在警察等人帮助下，Heintje脱离危险，而Alfred也找到真爱，就是在德国认识的事务所的Hanna（英俊少年里演女律师的演员），他们决定结婚并收养Heintje。
　　Heintje在片中一路唱着好听的歌那歌声让人陶醉其中，Ich sing ein lied fur dich直译是我为你唱首歌，在片中出现多次，可以说是这部的主题曲了，他的金嗓子让人佩服，现实中的他就是以金嗓子赢得众人的欣赏，他的少年时代的歌有荷兰语、德语、英语三种语言，也是语言天才。

　　解放初期，许多青年人为了祖国的需要，参加了开发边疆的队伍，来到西北的天山脚下，要在这里建起第一座农场。刘海英是这群青年中年纪较小的一个，在她七八岁的时候，父亲就被国民党反动派杀害了。父亲生前曾给了她革命思想的教育，培养了她坚定勇敢的意志和对革命事业的热爱。她在劳动中吃苦耐劳，热情愉快。由于她努力钻研业务，很快学会了开拖拉机。一天，正当海英驾驶着拖拉机在田间工作时，忽然发现一个孩子落水，她不顾一切跳下河去，救起了那个孩子。自己却因寒水浸泡，旧病——关节炎、中耳炎复发，她不得不忍痛离开工作岗位…

　　一个南斯拉夫女人悲惨而快乐的婚姻生活的写照：不幸的第一次婚姻、失去两个孩子并无法再生育、被丈夫赶出家里... 尽管经历了这么多的苦难和痛失， 偶而会变得有些迷信，但佩特里娅仍坚强地生活着。在埋葬她的第一个孩子时，佩特里娅和丈夫将一只活鸡一起葬在坟墓中，期望如此能令生活少一些痛苦，然而现实并不如愿...

　　In the time of Counter-Reformation, a miller and his son come under investigation by a priest of the Inquisition, when rumors spread that their prosperity comes from working with the Devil.
　　The Devil's Trap is a film directed by František Vlá?il, based on a novel by Alfréd Technik, adapted by František A. Dvorák and Miloš Kratochvíl. It was the first of three historical dramas that Vlá?il made during the Czech New Wave (technically he isn't really a part of the New Wave, however these films were made during the same era of artistic freedom), preceding his more well known Marketa Lazarová (1967) and Valley of the Bees (1968).
　　Set in the late 16th Century during the Catholic Reformation, in the Moravian Karst, situated in what is now the Eastern Czech Republic, it tells the tale of a miller (Vítezslav Vejrazka), and his son Jan (Vít Olmer), who come under suspicion and are investigated by a Jesuit priest of the Inquisition (Miroslav Macháchek), when rumors of witchcraft are spread by the local regent (Cestmír Randa), who is jealous of the miller's prosperity and degree of respect among the local populace.
　　As expected from Vlá?il, this film is a stunning experience all the way through. From the opening shot, an ominous manipulation of perspective with a close up of a mangled figure of Christ dominating the foreground against a tiny figure in black walking along the horizon, to the breathtaking confrontational finale inside the vast stalactite filled Karst caverns, it is a wonderful display of visual mastery.
　　Maybe not quite as impressive as Marketa Lazarová, but still full of astonishing imagery. As seen from unique angles and distinct points of view which highlight the director's remarkable sense of awareness of framing, motion, and positioning on the emotional and dramatic tone of the scene. The most memorable being a repeated shot where the camera is suspended and launched with speed through the air towards the miller's door.
　　The story here is a simple one and I would say more accessible than his later works. With a conventional structure emphasized as much by its plot and characters, than by its expressionistic cinematography or authentic historical detail. The events play out without much surprise, and there is a strong underlying, almost supernatural, mysterious aspect that is left unresolved, in fact barely explored, which is slightly disappointing, but only because it's so fascinating that I wish there was more.
　　Acting is great all around. Particularly the villains: Miroslav Macháchek as the priest, casting a sinister and imposing shadow wherever he goes, and Cestmír Randa as the weasel like regent behind all the persecution. While Vít Olmer brings a charismatic leading man presence in his role as the miller's son Jan, in love with the lovely orphan girl Martina (Karla Chadimová), who becomes a dangerous object of rivalry between Jan and other young men of the village.
　　The film also features the evocative music of Zden?k Liška (perhaps the most prolific composer of the Czech New Wave). In this his second of eleven collaborations with Vlá?il, his compositions are used sparingly, but to great effect, complimenting but never overpowering a scene. The best example of which can be heard in an amazingly shot celebration and dance sequence at the end of the second act.
　　The Devil's Trap might not be a masterpiece, but it is still a strong effort, with a fascinating straightforward story and a glorious historical setting captured beautifully by Vlá?il's unmistakable visual prowess. A fine work that would also be the perfect starter plate to prepare yourself for the challenging feast of Marketa Lazarová or The Valley of the Bees. It even has an easy to digest running time. It's therefore puzzling why this gem remains largely overlooked and ignored.

　　老骑手丹增是这里远近闻名的骑手，在每年举行的赛马大会上，他和他的白马总会成为人们目光追逐的焦点，冠军也唯他莫属。丹增渐渐年迈，希望自己的儿子华秀能够继承父业，成为像自己一样出色的骑手。
　　然而，随着时代的变迁，草原上的摩托车火了起来，华秀也对摩托车喜爱有加。当马匹渐渐淡出牧民生产生活必须品后，马和骑手越来越少，赛马会也随之衰落。面对此景，丹增为自己的夙愿得不到实现而陷入苦闷。
　　影片紧紧围绕父子之间的冲突，展现了草原上两代人的价值观、人生观的矛盾，以及民族传统文化与现代文化的碰撞。影片真实地再现了改革开放为华锐草原带来的巨大变化。随着生产发展和牧民生活的改善，当地的旅游业悄然兴起，华秀和他的伙伴们率先建起草原旅游景点。他们组织赛马和华锐婚俗表演等，不仅带动了当地牧民致富，也使古老的华热民俗文化得到继承和展示，受到各方游客的赞扬。作者以细腻的笔触记录了丹增一家人的多彩生活，草原牧民间兄弟般的情谊，华秀与仁增卓玛的甜蜜爱情等，将华锐人的亲情、友情、爱情表现得淋漓尽致。

　　故事开始于1938年，即将爆发的战争阴影笼罩着每一个犹太人。为了避难，沃尔特（米勒·尼尼兹 Merab Ninidze 饰）带着妻子杰塔（茱莉安·柯勒 Juliane Köhler 饰）和女儿雷吉纳（莉·克卡 Lea Kurka 饰）远赴非洲大陆，希望能够在那里躲避战火，开始新的生活。
　　刚开始，恶劣的自然环境和完全不同的生活方式让杰塔感到十分不适，背负着巨大压力的她将怒火和怨气全部发泄在了丈夫身上，夫妻两人之间的关系因此变得岌岌可危。然而，随着时间的推移和接二连三发生的意外，杰塔渐渐习惯了充满了辛苦但也洋溢着幸福的生活，亦懂得了珍惜眼前人。而年幼的雷吉纳更是融入了异域文化中，还在当地结交了许多好友。战争结束了，一家人的去留成为了最大的问题。

　　Two smugglers meet two customs officers at sea, and happen to kill them. The story continues fifteen years later when a son of one of the officers and a smuggler's daughter fall in love with each other.

　　1897年夏天，一只名为"鹰"的巨型气球载着三名探险者离开瑞典，开始了他们飞往北极极地的探险。这个探险小组领导是中年工程师安德列，他勇敢而又固执，一心想考察极地的秘密，他的同伴是两个年轻的探险家：弗朗凯尔、斯特琳德伯格。汽球在航行三个半小时后停落在冰川上，三个勇敢的人面对大自然的种种艰险展开了一场生与死的搏斗……三十三年之后，人们在一个小岛上发现了他们被冻僵的尸体。安德烈的探险是无意义的，还是伟大的？安德烈是否知道自己会这样死去呢？对于后人这还是个谜。但是，"鹰"的飞翔将作为人对极地的征服而载入史册。

　　Though Delluc's career was short-lived, it burst vigorously(7 films in 4 years)that it forever left its imprint on french cinema history, and they rightly honoured him by giving the annual Prix Delluc to the best French film of the year. He was responsible for the creation of influential cinema  journals like Le Journal du Ciné-Club and Cinéa, founding numerous film societies, writing countless articles and coining the term "cineaste". Delluc believed that films should be set in the natural without elaborate posturing, and characters should be portrayed in an intimate way where the past and present, illusion and reality can be correlated, all considered to be avant-garde at its time. He died only a few weeks after the shooting of The Flood at the age of 33.

　　This apocalyptic parable carries within it a clear echo of the 1968 invasion of Czechoslovakia. This unforgiving exploration of the Czech mentality tells the tale of a troupe of wandering actors who perform a passion play in some unnamed village. Fear of some unknown danger breaks out in the village, which is cut off from the surrounding world. Stupidity, selfishness and aggressiveness then come to the surface in this society under threat. In the film's key scene, a woman is raped by the self-styled leader. Zdenuk Mahler, who would later work on Forman's examination Mozart Amadeus, worked on the script.
　　The director Evald Schorm (1929-1988) was one of the most original members of the Czech "New Wave". During the "normalization" era, Schorm spent many years unable to direct. His last film, Killing with Kindness (1988) was only made in the twilight years of Communism. During that period when he was unable to direct films, he became an outstanding stage director. He directed groundbreaking productions at the "Na zábradlí" Theater and Laterna Magika.

　　Taking the identity of a dead postal inspector found on the trail, a stranger rides into a small western town and finds himself in the middle of a stagecoach robbery perpetrated by a gang of twenty ruthless desperados. Finding out the object of the heist was not a strongbox as it seemed but a solid gold stagecoach, he enlists the aid of a down-and-out old preacher and tracks down the dangerous gang and their unsuspected ally.
